Safe Anaesthesia Liaison Group

The Safe Anaesthesia Liaison Group reviews anaesthesia specific incidents reported to NHS England and other UK national healthcare safety bodies. SALG provides a central reference point for calls and enquiries from healthcare professionals, the media and patients through the RCoA Patient Safety Administrator. There are currently working parties that are convened to address specific safety issues in detail, produce reports and tools for wider dissemination to assist in establishing action, training and education needs.

Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation

The APSF is a U.S. organisation that supports patient safety research, projects and information sharing. The foundation produces are regular newsletter. 

AAGBI Safety page

The AAGBI has a page for safety information, including links to the National Safety Standards for Invasive Procedures and Non-Luer connectors.

NHS Central Alerting System

The Central Alerting System (CAS) is a web-based cascading system for issuing patient safety alerts, important public health messages and other safety critical information and guidance to the NHS and others, including independent providers of health and social care.

NHS Improvement

NHS improvement has a patient safety site, though not one dedicated to anaesthesia, surgery and perioperative care.
